Mental Map
A mental map is a map that is created through the image of ones own memory and imagination. It's a map that can be easily created with a piece of paper and a pencil. Since these maps are created through one's own mind, no map will be the same as another. People tend to express different landmarks than others, giving each map a unique feel to it. The sky's the limit when creating a mental map, it all depends on its creator. As you can see from the picture above, the creator emphasized big roads rather than other qualities in the map.
