Star Plot
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radar_chart
Star plots give the ability to provide a multitude of different amounts of information. Each "star" represents a specific piece of information. These stars are aligned with each other so they can each be compared against one another. The example provided shows 7 different aspects of MER IDD and Automated Designs provided by NASA. Each star is given a specific color to distinguish it from the other stars. By using different stars to represent data this map can be considered a star plot.
